Maranatha Christian School, a non-profit educational institution and ministry of Maranatha Chapel, was established in 1991 as a preschool. The school grew by grade level each year and in 2006 the high school was launched with grades 9 and 10. The school is located on a 17.5-acre campus just west of Rancho Bernardo's 4S Ranch and east of Rancho Santa Fe. Maranatha serves roughly 700 students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. The high school has 286 students. In 2006 MCS launched an International Student Program, and our current international students make up 14% of the total high school population.
